What's included:

- Airport Transfers
- 3 meals a day
- 3 day Joburg Orientation - covers everything the volunteers need to know about staying in South Africa (from social skills to transport and safety)
- All paperwork, placement and liaising with Volunteer Program
- Appointed Supervisor for duration of program.
- Accommodation in cozy cabin on the reserve
- Donation to the Volunteer Project, to assist in their funding.
- Certificate & Report on Volunteer`s Program should this be required for studies or other purposes.

What's not included:

- The cost of a visa in the case of your volunteer stay being longer than 90 days
- Medical Insurance which must include work, emergency evacuation. Please make sure you understand how your medical insurance works in South Africa as Hero Holidays will be unable to pay for any doctors accounts or the like in lieu of being refunded by the medical scheme.

3 Day Joburg Orientation

Day 1:

Full day walking tour of Joburg (including a choice of museums) Fascinating Joburg is an immigrant town; get to know the different African cultures, the hospitable and colourful people of this continent. Their craft and treasures are a delight. Movies, music and the like can be arranged for the evenings.

Day 2:

Visit a trendy local market. Take in the ambience of the local cultures, live music and dance performances. Take advantage of this opportunity to try the diversity of the food on offer. Evening at leisure to enjoy the entertainment in the area.

Day 3:

Last minute shopping before you travel to the farm in the Dinokeng Big Five Game Reserve, just over an hour from Johannesburg. Settle into your spacious room. Meet the family and all the animals. Enjoy your first bush evening.

Morning Safari
Rise with the sun and venture out into the bush in open game viewer. Keep your camera ready as you track the "Big Five" and witness breathtaking moments in the wild.

Bush Walk
Experience the thrill of walking in the footsteps of African wildlife. Led by an experienced guide, you'll get up close and personal with the incredible flora and fauna that call this place home.

Conservation work
Make a difference by participating in conservation efforts, from animal tracking to habitat preservation. Your hands-on involvement will leave a lasting impact on the African ecosystem.

Evening Campfires
Share stories and experiences around the campfire with fellow adventurers, serenaded by the sounds of the African night.
